| Thank you for your support; Thank you for your encouragement; Thank you for the way you have helped changed lives for so many young people here in Champaign-Urbana. I am unable express to you the depth of my gratitude I have for how you have impacted not only the lives of struggling teens, but also my life and my family's life. For the past 5 years God has blessed us in so many ways through your belief and support in what we were working to accomplish with and through Mission 180. |

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to share with you that Shannon and I have made the decision to step away from Mission 180. Our decision comes with much prayer and consideration for what is best for our family at this time. We have loved our ministry through Mission 180 and still love the youth, their families and the idea of what Mission 180 was meant to be. However, the struggles of managing, maintaining and building an organization have taken their toll on me and my family. So it is with a weary soul that I must inform you we have submitted our resignation to the board of directors for Mission 180 and are beginning to look forward to what God has ahead of us. At this time we are uncertain of what the next step is for our family but are confident that God has it planned out and we'll dive in with all our hearts. Consequently, with my decision, the board of directors for Mission 180 has made the extremely difficult decision to "close the doors" of Mission 180. Although this is a sad moment for us, I walk away with confidence. I walk away knowing that because of what God has allowed us to do through Mission 180, seeds of hope have been planted; better choices are being made; lives have been turned around; and Christ is at work and will be at work long after Mission 180. I have loved what God has shown me personally about the love and power of Jesus in the last 5 years. And I walk away knowing that the "doors" may close but Mission 180 lives on in the lives of young men and women who we have had the privilege of working along side. We will continue to minister and serve the youth of Champaign-Urbana until the end of December 2010. During this time we will still work with youth who need hope, who need love and who need to experience what God has for them. We ask you to continue to support our efforts until the end of the year. Please know that your long-time partnership and friendship has been important to us! Thank you for the past 5 years of prayer and financial support! Please continue to pray for our family during this time of transition as one chapter closes and the next one begins. December 31st will be the effective date of my resignation and the last official day of Mission 180. Thank you all for all you have done! |
