Change for Change Challenge April 2010


What do you do with your spare change? Do you throw it in the ash tray of your car after a visit to your favorite drive thru? Do you toss it in a jar sitting on your dresser? Maybe you, like us, drop it in a big plastic container trying to fill it in the hopes of a dream vacation...maybe.

Well, I have a challenge for you and your change. From Tax Day April 15, the most dreaded day for some, until May 15 set aside your loose change. Change in the couch, change in your pocket, change on the floor board of your car...it can be pennies, nickles or whatever, just set it aside for one month. Why? Because you won't believe what a bunch of LOOSE change can do to make a SOLID change in the life of a young person. Like many today, Mission 180 is struggling financially. We are struggling to keep up with the basic needs of operation. So we ask you, your family and your friends to gather up your loose change for a month. Count it on May 15, see what you end up with and then make a decision...you can keep it OR you can share it. I am asking you to share your loose change to create opportunity for SOLID CHANGE.
